Our client UMG Group of Companies is a conglomeration group in the Indochina region headquartered in Yangon, Myanmar. They have requested WGS to build a marketplace for electronic products trading within the regional area of Myanmar. The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system of the marketplace application uses Odoo which formerly named Open ERP. It is a platform where companies can easily manage many features for the business such as the materials and data stock in the warehouse, finance, sales, human resources and more. While, in this ecommerce application development, the company integrates their inventory, Finance and Sales system with Odoo.

Odoo’s wealth of functionalities in the deployment process will help our client to meet the company’s business needs. The e-commerce marketplace platform which is integrated with Odoo is an all-in-one solution where inventory and sales can easily be maintained by using automatic stock adjustments and reporting. So, by using this platform for the application, the company will get a better data consistency and an appropriate business process standard.

Here are the features from Odoo that are used in this application, as follows:

  1. Inventory.
    This feature maximizes the warehouse efficiency, improving performance and process time.
  2. Sales.
    This feature makes it easier to create quotations from proposal format to online signature (eSignature).
  3. Finance
    It is easier to manage bills and expenses as well as the bank synchronization and making invoice which save more time.
